Safety & Preparation

Guidelines and essential protocols for safe, controlled, and enjoyable ocean diving experiences.

Our Approach To Safety

Safety in scuba diving relies on thorough planning, proper equipment inspection, adherence to depth guidelines, and respectful buddy communication. We advocate for conservative dive limits and informed diver preparation at every location.

1. Pre-Dive Preparation

  • Review health self-assessments prior to entering the water.
  • Complete equipment orientation and seal checks (BCD, regulator, mask).
  • Participate in site safety briefings covering entry, exit, and emergency hand signals.

2. Water & Depth Protocols

  • Maintain buddy awareness and proximity throughout the dive.
  • Monitor air supply and depth indicators at regular intervals.
  • Perform standard safety stops (e.g., 3 minutes at 5 metres) prior to surfacing.

3. Environmental Respect

  • Practice neutral buoyancy control to prevent touching or disturbing coral heads.
  • Observe marine life passively without touching, baiting, or feeding.
  • Follow localized dive guide directions and weather advisory warnings.
